Seeking an I-man with 2 years experience using GPS and Total Station Instruments.
The Structural Engineer-In-Training will apply theory and principles of civil engineering in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities under the direction of engineering staff.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in structural engineering or related. Requires skills and experience to involve: Robust experience with RISA or Forte structural software to analyze frames and foundations; Extensive structural design knowledge of wood, steel, reinforced concrete, and insulated forms; Experience in performing site structural inspections for wood, steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry; Hands-on experience in reading and comprehending soils reports generated by a licensed geotechnical engineer; Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing construction drawings; Robust knowledge of structural analysis to determine internal forces, member reactions and force diagrams for structural design of members, frames, and connections; and Extensive knowledge in the use of the 2021 International Residential Code, 2021 International Building Code, ASCE Chapter 7, ACI 318 Building Code, and AISC construction code for application to design of structural members.
Requires Valid Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate by Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
40 hour work week.
Job location: San Antonio, TX.
Rate of pay: $91,187 /year.
